WES ANDERSON FILMS

THE SEVEN BEST

THE DARJEELING LIMITED

This was an underrated gem of a film, that doesn't get enough credit. Slightly outside the box for Wes, this is worth another look.

#7

RUSHMORE

I have to admit, Rushmore was a bit of a slow burn for me, and it took several watch-throughs for me to understand why it often ranks as Wes's top films

#6

MOONRISE KINGDOM

Perhaps the best themed film in the list, Moonrise Kingdom holds a special place on this list for being a classic quirky Wes Anderson film.

#5

GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL

Probably my most anticipated Wes film, Grand Budapest Hotel incorporates a lot of new dynamics with a classic vintage European vibe.

#4

Life Aquatic with Steve Zizzou

Absolutely Wes's most underrated film. The pacing, music, and overall 'weirdness' is unrivaled. Take another look if you wrote this one off originally.

#3

ROYAL TENENBAUMS

The best live-action (hint) of Wes's films, the Royal Tenenbaums set the blueprint for future films and remains to set the bar.

#2

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Go watch this film if you haven't. It's everything that Wes embodies, without relying on the perceived kitsch of Wes's live-action style. This film proved Wes was more than a parody of himself.
