Possibly the coolest (and underutilized) console accessory of all time is the Visual Memory Unit (VMU) for the Sega Dreamcast.
The console itself came out when I was just entering high school and just experienced the wonders of a broadband internet connection. The hours I put into that console are some of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had.
Now Wermy of Sudomod, a famous Raspberry Pi gadget maker and Youtuber has released his latest creation: a RetroPi crammed into a VMU that can still fit into an original Dreamcast controller that provides charging/extra battery and 6 button connectivity.
